Burg Vilbel - Hotel Tannenblick

Vilbel Castle

Vilbel Castle is located in the town of the same name on the river Nidda. The moat of the moated castle used to be fed by the river, but today there is a park between the two that allows you to walk completely around the castle. Vilbel Castle dates from the 12th century and was enlarged in the 13th century. Today, the complex is partly in ruins, partly restored. The shield wall, the ring wall, a defence tower, the castle courtyard, the gate and parts of the palace have survived. The beautiful and impressive grounds, together with the park, invite you to visit and linger.

Parking:

There are numerous free parking facilities in the neighbouring town of Burg Vilbel. From here, it is a 100 m walk to the facility.
